Well I've slept in my new place for a week now and I'm finally starting to settle in. I finished up the rest of the painting in the living room on Friday and picked out new bedding on Sunday so now I can pick a color to paint my bedroom.
I would have updated everyone sooner if my personal laptop was up and running, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my brother's friend can recover all of my documents. It turns out he works only 6 miles away from my office so I dropped off the hard drive at lunch today and I'm hoping they will get a chance to work on it and I'll get it back tomorrow.
Have you ever noticed how you forget what a pain it is to move? I guess it is like giving birth or something. Afterwards, you forget and that's why people have more than one kid. I've decided I'm not moving again until I can afford movers. You know the ones that come in, pack up all your stuff, move it, and all you have to do is organize it the way you want to. I haven't had this many bruises on my body ... probably since the last move from balancing boxes in my arms and on my hips in order to get all the doors open in my old place.
Today as it was pooring rain when I got home, I was so happy that I have garage parking. I forgot what it was like to have to carry stuff inside when its pouring down rain. I guess I used to just leave it in the car until it stopped.
Well I guess its time to check on my laundry. I'm using the laundry room for the first time so I'm not sure how long it takes to wash a load. I couldn't believe it costs $1.65 a load to wash. I used to complain about the $0.75 I paid in college. I didn't look at the dryers yet, but I'm hoping its less.
